![]() | Where does one customize a figure you might ask? In Baron Karza's Body Banks, of course. In the Marvel Comics Micronaut's series, the Body Banks is where Karza performed all his experiments. Most of these experiments had to do with prolonging the citizens of HomeWorld's lives, but some had to do with altering genetics...and one of the coolest "customizations" Karza performed, was on Prince Argon. He transformed him into the centaur Force Commander. This (and seeing an awesome centaur custom job on the Monochronauts site) was the inspiration for my own Micronauts Centaur. The Centaur was made from parts of 2 different Micronauts and Microman figures. The lower horse body came from a Micronauts Centaurus, while the upper body came from a Microman Spy Magician figure. The head is a reproduction of a custom made one, from a Japanese kit building group called MAFF. |

![]() | Over in the Body Banks radiation room, another experiment in Membros and Time Traveler DNA splicing is powering up. This Time Traveler is no more a Time Traveler than he is a Membros, but a sick twisted combination devoid of intelligence or independent thought. Bulked up arms and legs are used to wield the powerful blasters that replace hands that are no longer present.
This figure is a combo of the new Palisades Time Traveler, Membros and a reproduction
Takara Spy Magician. Does the background in the last two pictures look vaguely
familiar? Remember the old Micronauts board game? |
Deep
down below the main Body Banks chambers lie the holding pens. Inside these steel
reinforced cells reside the experiments that went a little beyond Karza's control.
Karza is always trying to improve on the Dog Soldier, sometimes the results are
more vicious than he expected... |

Above
is the result when two different bloodthirsty alien races are combined...the Memvisceros.
These two winged creatures know nothing but pure destruction. That's what happens
when you mix Repto and Membros DNA, as the evil Baron found out. Hapless Time
Traveler prisoners are torn to shreds in mere moments. If Karza could just control
them, he may win the war over supremacy in the Microverse. These two figures are
a mix of the new Palisades Membros and Takara Micro Devilman wings. |

...and what
happens when Karza has left over body parts? He makes slaves and prototypes of
his Dog Soldiers, I guess. I call this guy "the Reject". He was a failed
experiment to improve on the Dog Soldier...but as he has no brain, he has now
become a mindless slave. His parts came from the chest and head of the Micronauts
Centaurus (minus brain of course), and arms and legs of a Microman Spy Magician.
He has had a recent upgrade by Karza, in an attempt to improve upon the first
try. Organic wings have been replaced with mechanical ones, along with a new Membros
blaster and "punch"-mechanical hand attachment. Stay tuned here for
more Body Banks experiments in the future... |
