2 different versions of catalog #3 (1977) were released with the second wave of figures and vehicles, and were included with those newer boxed additions. It was a 4-fold pamphlet, each page fold measuring 3"x 5". Many prototype items were shown here, as the catalogs were usually put together before the actual released toys were decided upon.

The "new" Pharoid with Time Chamber is actually the Command 2 M-164 Sammy figure (note Japanese writing on the bottom of the chamber) and the Rhodium Orbiter is actually a modified Takara Godam 5 Geso Machine with clear cockpit canopy (never included with the actual release).

The Hydra and Galactic Cruiser shown are also the Microman counterparts, evidenced by the original non-rubber tipped missiles and pilot. Two major notes of interest are the Battle Cruiser and various Cities prototypes. The Battle Cruiser shown is actually a modified Microman Transfer Fortress, an all white with gold highlights version. The other major prototypes shown are the 5 Cities, which were drastically changed upon final release. Most of these were built from Microman Build Base parts, and showed very clever designs.

The second printing of the catalog showed off the actual finished Cities designs, and was quickly added to replace the older one. The final page spread shows another huge 3-fold display of the toys all mixed together creating many new toys. One last note of interest: on the final fold of the display, the Rhodium Orbiter (Geso Machine) shown has magno ports on either side, with Baron Karza's legs attached. These magno ports were later removed from the final release of the vehicle.
