"Well versed in the use of ancient weaponry and hand to hand combat, Galactic Centurions are the elite combatants of the Microverse. They're limited numbers and antiquitous honor code make them more suitable for special assignments than for front-line combat. Used primarily as escorts for heads of state and diplomats these stoic, fearless warriors would die rather than see their missions fail. Lone Centurions have been known to fight off hoardes of enemies in protection of their charges and their fearsome combat abilities are legendary. Few Micronaut warriors rise to the level of Centurion, but there limited ranks make them no less formidable a foe to the forces of evil. Indeed, it is said that one of these elite soldiers is the equal of ten lesser warriors." Brand new from Micronaut collector and customizer Mike Danza come two new and amazing figures. First, the Galactic Centurion: |
Mike
used a gold head from a Palisades Time Traveler and body parts from a vintage
Time Traveler. The lower legs and feet were cut from a Pharoid and glued on to
the trimmed TT legs. The torso and the lower legs were spray painted gloss Apple
Red. I used a shield from a Gundam model and a Darth Vader lightsaber for the
weapons. The shield was painted Apple Red and Bare Metal Foil was used to metalize
the outer trim and eagle symbol. |

"Unlike Space Gliders who use fast flying, hit and run tactics to accomplish their goals Gyronauts stand and deliver. Hovering over the battlefields of the Microverse these warriors are perfect for bombing raids, sniping, precision insertions and extractions, as well as rescue missions. Although trained for battle, these expert flyers are adept at exploration and archeology and are called into service in those fields when certain sites are impossible to reach under normal circumstances." Wow! Sounds as professional as it looks. All that is missing is the custom made card... | ![]() |
This guy really benefitted from Mike's extensive GI Joe parts/accessory collection.
The body is vintage TT, but the rest is Joe. Joe fans might recognize the head
as belonging to the original Duke, the copter pack (which was converted to fit
Micronauts using an electrical disconnect- thanks Micro-Doc) and the laser gun
are from two different baddy figures who's names escapes Mike at the moment. The
head was converted to fit a Micronaut body and metalized using bare metal foil.
Two great new custom figures to add to the ever changing and interchangeable world
that is the Micronauts. Many thanks to Mike Danza who supplied both the images
and the text! |
