"Interested
in a used Solarion? It's a classic…only 1,000,000 miles on it, driven
only on Sunday by a little old Lady Command to church…" One of the main
reasons the Micronauts were the size they were, was so that Mego could
cost-effectively produce accessories for them. 12" size would be too large
and expensive, but 3 ¾" size was perfect. You had to have a cool ride
to be stylin', and the vehicles in the Micronaut line were about as diverse
as the all the rest. Some all plastic, some die-cast metal, some with
wind up motors, and some battery powered. Some cruised on land, some in
the water…enough to keep a kid busy for days. Almost all the vehicles
were based on Takara Microman vehicles, with some slight changes here
and there. The Micronauts line only saw about ½ the vehicles their Japanese
counterparts had, and the ones we did get had a lot of the cool little
extras removed. Toward the end of the run, some of the Micronaut's vehicles
popped up in other Mego lines, using different names and having different
colors. The following are classified as "vehicles", due to their size,
and the fact that they have a 1 person capacity for the driver/pilot.
(The "ships" are classified as a larger vehicle, and holding more than
1 passenger.) Click on the links below to check out the Mego showroom's
stock of new and used vehicles, no lemons in the bunch!
